Administrator Reverend Eliseus Uju

Father Eliseus Uju was born on September 3rd, 1971, in Nigeria, West Africa.  Father Uju studied philosophy and theology at Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.


Fr. Uju was ordained from the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Nigeria, by the Most Reverend Bishop Solomon Amatu on December 12, 2003; the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.


Fr. Uju has served as Pastor and Principal in Nigeria before moving to the Catholic University of Belgium for his master's in pastoral theology, then completing a  Master of Arts in Education in Instructional Leadership at Argosy University, where he also obtained his PHD in education.


He served as an Associate Vicar at St. Edward Parish in Corona, Riverside, for two years, then served for five years at Saint Joseph Parish in Big Bear Lake and one year at Our Lady of the Desert, Apple Valley. For the past nine years, Fr. Uju served at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Twentynine Palms until becoming Pastor at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary in Desert Hot Springs on May 31, 2025.

The Most Reverend Bishop Alberto Rojas was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, on January 5, 1965. He was ordained Priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, on May 24, 1997.  He was ordained a Bishop on August 10, 2011, at Holy Name Cathedral. He was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of San Bernardino on December 2, 2019.  He became the Third Ordinary Bishop of the Diocese of San Bernardino on December 28, 2020.  Bishop Rojas succeeds Bishop Emeritus Gerald R. Barnes.
